I mention this so much, and you people probably have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about. So here's my (semi-pre-typed) rant on my view of XS's past.
The theory that I use quite often is that Dashi, Guan, Chase, and Wuya were the original four elemental Xiaolin Dragons, and therefore (at one point), Dragons-in-training like our heroes. One by one, they were tempted to the side of evil, but they were once all friends.
Dashi=Dragon of Wind. Evidence: His personality, for one, seems very carefree, very much like Raimundo's. Also, in Time After Time part 1, right at the end, we see him attacking with strikes that have what appear to be gusts of wind shooting out from his hands and feet as he attacks. One more point to think about- the Shen Gong Wu he chose to name for himself was the Eye of Dashi, which shoots lightning, and lightning is the secondary element to wind.
Chase=Dragon of Water. Evidence: He is generally cool and collected. Also, his fighting style is remarkably similar to Omi's, more so than just anyone trained in the Xiaolin style. Take Guan, for instance-he and Omi both use the similar, silly-named moves, but they can't fight in tandem like Omi and Chase can. This leads me to believe that they were both trained in the water style of fighting.
Wuya=Dragon of Earth. Evidence: The personality evidence for this one is actually contradictory, as her temper would make you assume her to be the Fire Dragon. However, her powers say otherwise. The ability to raise a huge palace made of solid stone from the ground? The power to create sentient creatures out of rock? Sounds like advanced earth-based abilities to me.
Guan=Dragon of Fire. Evidence: This is the hardest of all of them for me to back up, because most of my evidence is more theorization. First of all...he's the only one left. Personality generally points to earth, although we HAVE seen a fire-like angry side of him. But what really gets me is the spears- I think he makes them himself (How on earth else would he have so many? There isn't exactly a Xiaolin Wal-mart for this stuff). And how do you weld metal? You've got to heat it majorly first. And it'd be rather impractical and strange to have a giant furnace inside a temple. But, who needs a furnace if you have the power of fire at your command, eh? His more controlled, earth-like personality would give him more subtle control over a fire element, which could aid greatly in him being a skilled weapon-smith.
As for being tempted to evil...obviously, Wuya would have gone first. The other three would have had to fight her, because it was their Xiaolin Duty to destroy evil (perhaps this is why they trapped her instead of killing her- she was once a friend). Then, Dashi would have split from Chase and Guan to hide the Wu with Dojo. About this time, Chase would begin to be influenced by Hannibal Roy Bean, and would eventually turn to the Heylin side. He survived to the present, and Guan's score to settle with him motivated him to live until he could defeat Chase. Dashi would have finished his life out normally and died (maybe. :3)
There you have it- my crazy theory. Whether or not it works, I love it. :3
How about you? Agree? Disagree? Have additional evidence or counter-evidence? Think I’m a whack-job? :3 Then reply.
I think this theory is 100% wonderful and I could totally see this as true. I SMELL JUICY FANFICTION <333 +steals your smartness and runs off giggling idiotically+

T_T It'll be a while, I'm afraid. Long, epic stories REALLY aren't my strong suit, but I'm going to try REALLY hard to finish this. I'm a bit stumped as to where to start, though...
That was my problem as well. I was thinking about starting from one of them going into the temple or somthing, or when they were just getting their elements gien to them. Somthign liek that.

I'd use a scene similar to the first flashback in Ultimatum (though this definitely isn't going to be written in the same super-stuffy writing style- that would kill me. T_T) But I want something different.
I've got a rather humorous scene of the four of them coming up with creative ways to do their chores, and I'm thinking of starting out with that. Like a Shakespearean tragedy- it starts out happy, then everything gets screwy. XD
XD Heh, Dashi's actually trying out his latest Shen Gong Wu (in this, he's their creator. A child inventor-genius, of sorts.) Needless to say, it's a fiasco. And Guan is trying to work, though Wuya and Chase ganging up to squeeze wet sponges over his head doesn't help. (Dashi's got enough problems. XD)
