However, he wasn't even remotely out of the woods, as Omi headed him off as he passed the Water monk's hiding place. He stood with his pointy little hands on his hips, resolutely blocking his friend's path, though his face still held an unsure expression. "Raimundo?" he inquired hesitantly. "I wish to talk to you."

Raimundo jumped, slightly startled when Omi spoke his name. He looked down to meet his gaze.

"Uh...Omi? What're you doiing her..." His sentence trailed off. "I mean, what is it?" He said as casually as he could manage.

Omi scowled- he didn't appreciate Raimundo's attempt to fool him, and he wasn't even beginning to fall for it. "I want to know what went up between you and Clay yesterday" he said with astonishing bluntness.

Raimundo's eyes went big. Frantically, he looked around to see if anyone was within earshot of the two. Seeing noone, he bent towards Omi,

"N-Nothing happend, what on earth are you talking about?" He laughed nervously.

Omi snapped, "Do you take me for an unintelligent donkey? I saw you." His expression visibly softened, and he looked uncharacteristically shy, almost sad. "I do not understand."

Raimundo stood up straight and scratched his head. Great, just great...how was he supposed to explain somthing like this to Omi? Should he try to change the subject? No...like that would work. He cleared his throat.

"It's uh...complicated." He mumbled. "But, uh...it doesn't matter now. I mean...nothing changed or anything. Me and Clay were...uh..."

Raimundo frantically racked his mind for the right words to say. Unfortunatly, he found none. Omi's expression made him feel like he was the bad guy.

Jack gave a yawn.He just realized he also fell asleep outside the temple."Huh?"He looked around and noticed Omi and Raimundo talking."Now that the monks are distracted I can Steal all their Shen-Gong-Wu!!!"Hey thought "Oh Crap Too loud too loud!!!"

However, Omi made no more snappy remarks- he only sat down against the temple wall, pulling his knees to his chest, and repeated, "I do not understand." A pause, a furrowing of the eyebrows, then he continued, "What is it like to feel the way you do towards Clay? I do not understand." His expression hinted that this confusion was not the result of childish naivete, but of something altogether different.

Seeing Omi act this way make Raimundo's stomache generate an uncomfortable feeling. The tone in Omi's voice was genuin senserity, no sarcasm or anything. He sighed and scratched his head before sitting crossed-legged in front of Omi. Raimundo thought a moment for the right words to say before finally speaking.

"It's...strange." was all he could get out. Raimundo had never been too good with words. He blinked. "Omi...is there somthing in particualr that's bugging you?" he ventured.

Omi sighed, curling further in on himself, and said slightly offhandly, "I...have been thinking very much in these recent times." He repeated his earlier phrase a fourth time, but this time it had meaning. "I do not understand. I have not had these feelings towards anyon-" he cut off, then finished lamely, "...about anything before."

Raimundo raised an eyebrow. Was Omi talking about...?

"Omi...is there someone you uh...have a crush on?" He asked bluntly.

(In case anyone's thinking Omi is being OoC...I'm basing this depressed-Omi on the attitude he had in "Omi Town", when he was sad about not having a family. He does seem to have the potential to be pretty serious, when he's feeling that way.)

Omi just looked genuinely confused. "I have no intention of squishing anyone."

Raimundo rolled his eyes.

"That's not what I...oh nevermind. I mean, like..." Raimundo thought a moment. "Is there...someone that you like more than usual? Like...holdin' hands and love confessions and all that jazz."

Omi's eyebrows and mouth twitched into a slightly angry expression, and his tone was obviously frustrated. "I do not know about any hand-holding or even talking together, because that is impossible!" The anger melted back into sadness, and he whispered, so quietly that it was barely audible, "I miss this person very much."

Raimundo's casual face faded into a look of sympathy. He felt the need to say some words to comfort his friend, but unfortunatly, like always, none seemed to come to him. He nervously scratched the back of his hand.

"So...it's not like you could go visit them or anything, is it?" he asked.

Omi shook his head and stated, "No, it is not possible. This person lives very far away, and there is never enough time away from training and fighting for the Shen Gong Wu to even consider leaving the temple for a short time."

Raimundo thought a moment.

"Ah, come on, we're not that busy. I mean...uh..." He blinked stupidly. Exactly where was he going with this? He had no idea.

"Uh, well...there's always the possibility of them coming to visit you...maybe." he said. At first he had just been relieved to get off of the subject of him and Clay, but now he was genuinly concerned for his friend.

With a grimace, Omi muttered, "Considering what happened last time..." He stopped himself from saying anything else, but averted his eyes from Raimundo's in embarassment- he realized that what he'd said probably made it easy to guess who he'd been talking about. Abruptly, he stood up and began to walk away, staring resolutely at his feet. "This discourse has no point. Good evening, my friend." Half of him hoped that Raimundo would follow him, while the other half hoped that his fellow monk would leave him be.

Raimundo watched Omi get up and begin to walk away. A look of concern plastered on his face, Raimundo stood up and began trying to decide if he should pry more informtaion out of him or not. Omi sounded as if he really needed someone to confide in.

However, on the other hand, Raimundo was in a delima of his own that he couldn't get out of. His head started hurting. A feeling of guilt seemed to tug at his insides. Here he was, confused over somthing so stupid as a little kiss...well, maybe it was a little more than that...or a lot more...Raimundo shook away those thoughts. The fact of the matter was, Omi obviously needed help, and it was his duty as his friend to provide it. He began walking after him.

"Er...Omi," he began gingerly.

Omi sighed and stopped walking, allowing Raimundo to catch up to him. He'd expected the other boy to follow him. Turning back around, he asked miserably, "What is it, Raimundo? Do you wish to ridicule me for my weakness? I am certain you know who it is that I am talking about already."

Raimundo stopped when he came to Omi. He blinked.

"...ridicule? Weakness? Why would I..."

He paused.

"Omi, wanting to be with someone isn't a weakness," he mumbled, trying to sound sure of himself.

"How is it anything other than a weakness? When I think of this person, I cannot concentrate on training or fighting or anything else that requires concentration!" He wasn't quite yelling, but he'd certainly raised his voice a fair few decibels. "I do not understand it!" Again, he seemed to deflate. "...I am sorry, Raimundo. I am not seeing orange at you. It is myself with whom I am angry."

"It's okay, Omi. I...I know exactly how you feel," he said quietly, although a second later, he wished he hadn't.

"Uh..." Raimundo started. "I...think it is." To be honest, lately he didn't know what the hell was normal or not. Wa sit...normal for his to have this...attraction to Clay? This...feeling?

For the first time that evening, Omi gave a small smile. "That increases my cheer, if only in a small way. Thank you, Raimundo." He paused, then said more somberly, "But you have luck that I do not posess. At least you have the company of the person you...of Clay. I have not seen...Jermaine, not for a very long period of time." He figured that he ought to just say it, and wondered what Raimundo's reaction would be.

(What? If you didn't see that coming, than you need glasses. XD)

Raimundo smiled back at Omi, hiding his slight surprise from hearing the Object of Omi's effection was Jermaine. The sad part was, he did have it better off than Omi, he had to admit. Sadly, he still didn't know what exactly what he was going to do.

"I uh...I'm sure everyhting'll work itself out eventually." He said reassuringly.

(I suppose you are, although it could just be that JerOmi is one of my OTPs and I've been rather obvious about it. XD)

There was another slightly wan smile from Omi and a muttered, "Thank you," before the tiny monk finally walked away and back to the room the four dragons-in-training shared. He curled up on his mat and was asleep within minutes.

The next morning... (We ought to continue on with this, and besides, Buffi's probably getting bored. XD)

(This shall be one of my last posts tonight, it's almost 9:30 and I gotta get up at 5 xD;; )

Raimundo had slept a lot better than the previous night (actually sleeping in a bed might of had somthing to do with that), but he was plaqued by thoughts of Omi's troubles and his own. Mostly invovling what he was going to tell Clay the next time he was forced into a confrontation with him. He knew he should confront him as soon as possible and talk, but part of him dreaded Clay's reaction.

Clay couldnt get Rai out of his head,he loved and feared and was confused all at the same time.He thought about what he would do when he was forced to to talk to rai,and it scared him all the more.

Out of pure exhaustion if nothing else, Omi had slept well and dreamlessly, for which he was immensely grateful. Despite the early hour that he woke up, he had immediately balanced himself on his head and meditated, his mind full of considerations and ideas.

(This will be my last post tonight, as it's 10:30 here, and that's when mum kicks me off the computer. Good night, guys! And sorry again about the time-continuity error.)

The opportunity came much sooner than Raimundo had hoped. It was just his luck to see Clay standing solo, looking as if he was lost in thought.

Raimundo gulped. Should he go talk to him? He looked as if he didn't need to be bother at the moment. ...but Raimundo had kept pushing this to the back of his mind for too long. He knew he couldn't avoid it forever. He knew he had to go up and say -somthing- to Clay, no matter what th eoutcome would be. He knew he had to face the music, so the speak, even if he was rejected, even if he was hated...even if he had to leave the temple.

Raimundo stiffened when Clay's eyes met his. Well, now he didn't have much of a choice in the matter, now did he? Mustering up as much courage as he could, he took a step gingerly towards the Cowboy. He cleared his throat,

"Um...hi there, Clay..." He said as casually as he could manage. (Which wasn't that casual at all, considering his voice was shaking)

After his responce, Raimundo cleared his throat and tried his best to keep his nervous gaze on Clay's face.

"Well, I...uh..." He started nervously. "I've...known you for a long time now...and..." He shuffled his feet. He tried his hardest to continue.

"I...I have feelings...for you."

Raimundo's face went 10 shades redder when Clay finished his statment. Was he dreaming? Did Clay really just say...? Raimundo shuffled his feet and faced the ground. He was begining to grow very hot in the face, and he wasn't really sure what to do or say next.
